You can only prevent heartworm, that means you should start young with your puppy. You have to also go to the vet once a year for vaccinations. You have to keep these up for the life of the dog. This prevents viruses and diseases that kill dogs.
When looking for a pet, make sure you think about all the hard work, money and attention a dog needs every day. Plenty of dogs end up in the pound because the owners didn’t consider the hard work and money that dog needs. So the pounds end up full with unwanted and uncared for dogs and this is such a shame.
So when you have your first puppy, you have to teach it to pea outside, get it vaccinated and also worm it. Ensure your puppy is healthy and well cared for. Always feed your puppy the right puppy food. Puppy food is different to adult food. puppy food is better to help the puppy grow healthy and big. Make sure your pup gets the best start.
